2 Pennies. It cancels 1¢ the author hasn’t locked in. If there’s nothing to cancel, it’s free.

Lock in what you earn

Any time after 24 hours. Most comments earn a little, and the budget is limited.

How do I get Pennies?
  • 100 free when you join.
  • +25 for your first comment, once your phone is verified.
  • +10 for other comments on PennyPeeps questions (up to 3 a day).
  • +100 for each friend who joins with your link and verifies (up to 10 a month).
  • Pennies aren’t money. They can’t be cashed out or sent to anyone.
Who reads my comment?

Everyone, whichever side they’re on. Once a discussion opens, its comments show together, the most Liked first. A link to your comment works from the start.

How many comments can I post?

One per discussion, so each view counts once. Edit it any time, and reply as much as you like.

Can I reply to a comment?

Yes, once you’ve Liked or Disliked it. Replies are free and can earn too.

What does a Boost do?
  • It steps your Like or Dislike up one size. You pay only the difference.
  • You get one change per comment: Boost down, switch sides or undo.
  • Undo works until the author locks in. Undoing a Like within 10 seconds is free.
Why does a Dislike cost Pennies?

So nobody piles on for free. The Disliker gets nothing, and the Liker gets their Penny back.

How exactly do authors earn?
  • Eligible Likes earn 1¢, up to 22¢ for a Like Boosted to 25 Pennies.
  • Earnings come from a limited PennyPeeps budget. PennyPeeps pays you, not the Liker.
  • Likes from new or linked accounts may not count for up to 30 days.
  • You and a friend you invited can’t earn from each other’s Likes for 30 days.
  • When payouts open: monthly, once $10 is ready, through Stripe.
